Marketplace

The Sim Assist Marketplace is a library of reusable automation components created by the community and the Sim Assist team. You can find ready-made toolboxes with function blocks, complete project templates, and 3D model packs — all designed to accelerate your simulation work.

What's Available

The marketplace offers two main categories:

• Toolboxes — Collections of function blocks for specific automation tasks. Examples include PID controller libraries, motion control blocks, safety logic templates, and communication protocol handlers.
• Projects — Complete simulation projects with PLC programs, 3D scenes, and I/O bindings already configured. These serve as starting points or learning examples for common industrial scenarios like conveyor systems, robotic cells, or packaging lines.

Each listing includes a description, screenshots, version history, and user ratings.

Browsing and Searching

Open the marketplace from the Marketplace tab in the main navigation. You can explore content in several ways:

• Categories — Filter by type (toolbox, project), industry (manufacturing, logistics, process), or function (motion, safety, HMI).
• Search — Enter keywords to find specific components. Search covers titles, descriptions, and tags.
• Sort — Order results by popularity, rating, newest, or price.
• Featured — The landing page highlights editor picks and trending items.

Click any listing to view full details, including the component's documentation, compatibility information, and reviews from other users.

Purchasing with Credits

Marketplace items are priced in credits, the platform's internal currency. To purchase:

1. Ensure your account has sufficient credits. You can buy credit packs from the Account → Billing page.
2. Open the item listing and click Purchase.
3. Confirm the credit amount. The credits are deducted immediately.
4. The item appears in your Library and is ready to install.

Free items are available as well — click Install directly without any credit transaction.

Installing Purchased Items

After purchasing, install items into your workspace:

1. Go to Library in the marketplace section.
2. Find the item and click Install.
3. For toolboxes, the function blocks are added to your block palette and become available in the FBD editor. They appear under a dedicated category named after the toolbox.
4. For projects, a new project is created in your workspace with all files, scenes, and programs included. Your existing projects are not affected.

Updates to purchased items are free. When a publisher releases a new version, you will see an Update Available badge in your library.

Rating and Reviewing

After using a marketplace item, you can leave a rating and review:

1. Open the item from your library or search for it in the marketplace.
2. Click Write Review.
3. Select a star rating from 1 to 5 and write a brief comment about your experience.
4. Submit the review. It will appear on the listing after a short moderation check.

Reviews help other users find quality components and give publishers feedback to improve their work.
